Independence Day was July 4th, for those who didn't know this. In the meantime, I needed a reason to post a new news article, so here's news:
Kyna's still typing one-handed, see the board about that. His Grace is indeed in Paragon City, bashing the baddies and taking plenty of dirt naps we're sure. Rumors of an HCD chapter starting in the new worlds of Lineage 2 have started to come out, and finally, SWG may just be bug-free enough to play again - more on that from Sir Wei if we can ever drag him out of SWG to give a definitive report.

HCD SIGHTED IN PARAGON CITY
In a show of guild colors, several Knights of the Cross have been spotted assisting local authorities within Paragon City's limits in both the Freedom and Guardian dimensions. To date these sightings include Sir Elbyran, Sir Zedd, Sir Nikodemz, and Sir Adun. Rumors indicate even His Grace, Sir Thump may make an appearance within the coming weeks!

In other news, the screen shot gallery has been updated with a Paragon City subsection, those with FTP access please upload into the dropbox under /gallery/dropbox/CoH and send Adun an email (adun@nospam.netc.com), or just email Adun the screenshot. If uploading yourself please convert the picture to .jpg, if emailing, leave the picture in .tga format, thanks.

Around 6PM Sir Granyte hopped into the guild message board and said a quick howdy! Everyone hit the board and welcome back one of our guild's most senior knights!

UPDATE
Small web site updates throughout our pages, fixed links, updated pages to match our current motif. Roster updated and changed slightly to reflect a new style. Corrections, omissions, etc, please direct them to the message board as soon as possible. Fixes of note, the "submit news" button now works properly, and will generate messages that will get direct attention (as opposed to bounced emails).

GUILDWIDE MEETING ANNOUNCED
Our grand Regent Sir Elbyran Starfire has announced a reconvening of our guildwide meeting. On the agenda will be the elevation of Sir Thump Shadespawn to the honored rank of Holy Grand Master. Please make arrangements where possible to be in the guild IRC chat room at 9pm on February 15th, 2004 to bear witness to this grand event.

NEW HOLY GRAND MASTER ANNOUNCED
A few months ago His Grace Sir Wei Liao Wei announced he would be stepping down and lent the decision of a new HGM to the named Reagent, Sir Elbyran Starfire. Sir Elbyran, after many moons of contemplation and searching for guidance of the Cross has pronounced that it shall be Sir Shadespawn Thump who will take the rainment of the Holy Grand Master of the Knights of the Holy Cross Defenders. All bow and swear allegiance to the next age of the HCD.

HCD LIVE IN FINAL FANTASY XI
As the number of knights taking residence in this new world grows, His Grace has seen fit to name Sir Kristiane Sabre as preceptor of our orders in the world of Vana'Diel Unicorn. To date as many as eight members of our orders, at least seven knights, have been confirmed sighted engaging in activities across the lands there. Congratulations to the new preceptoress, and may all our knights' activities be blessed by the Holy Relic.

OLD SITE ARCHIVE AVAILABLE
With the increased traffic from enquiring potential members, and the realisation that the new site, while adequate for those in-the-know, is NOT adequate for potential initiates, the old site archive has been made available to peruse for the time being... or just for nostalgia's sake here =).

CRIES OF ALDERAN ACT 1 OVER
The first installment of the universe's storyline is complete, and the Rebellion has won the first battle! Make sure to get out there and complete all of the quests involved in Act 2! Soon mayhap the Rebellion will capture an AT-ST manufacturing facility and turn the tides on the evil mechanical walking beasts of the Empire!

Yes it's true we have a new message board! Please use the NEW BOARD link above to access this wonderful new board. Please refrain from posting to the old board, as it will eventually be removed from the link list entirely. Our herald respectfully requests any FAQ postings you have on the old board be moved to the FAQ topic on the new board, so everyone may continue to benefit from the wonderful wisdom these articles present.

FIGHT NIGHTS SCHEDULED!

• REBELLION FACTION NIGHT: Sundays at 7pm CDT.
• BYOB HUNT NIGHT: Tuesdays at 7pm CDT.

All fight nights are to start promptly at the Guild hall in Citadel. In-game email any guild knight for the waypoint. Please come ready for action, all stim-packs, correct weapons/armor/traps etc. already made and good to go. Most of all, come ready to have fun!

PA HALL ON NABOO IS UP!
And much rejoycing was to be had, we now have a PA Hall and our guild tags are in place! Much thanks goes to Gamanin, Kyna, Mordos, and Zehd for all the hard work involved in gathering resources, money, and skill to assemble this mammoth structure that is the cornerstone of our presence on Bria. Please see the post on the message board here by His Grace regarding guidelines and rules for placing structures in this community.

CEREMONIAL PROMOTIONS
Ceremonies done! A grand time was had by all!
Please congratulate Adept Pendyl for his new station, the initiate has shown great growth in his time with us and has taken the vows into the guild proper under the guidance of House Starfire.
Please welcome Initiate Tenu, who has been searching for a home for some time and is known already to many of our number as an upstanding and right decent fellow. May your stay with us be pleasant, productive, and long =).

MEETING DONE
Guildwide meeting was a good success. Almost everyone from the SWG crowd showed (notable exceptions on the board)... numerous newbie questions answered, and Sir Elbyran was nearly driven to distraction with the SWG talk. Overall it was a good time topped off by a round of hunting ingame. Next meeting TBD.

AWARD BESTOWED
Adun, called Tam Aden, called Donovon the Mischevious, is know a member of the Order of Eshamiel, for selfless service to the Holy Cross, and the Guild. Be it also known he is now officially the Guild's Herald.

SWG EDICTS FOR REAL THIS TIME
Starwars Galaxies is to be the new home of the Defenders. Our time in UO, AC, EQ, DAoC, and other worlds has come to an end. We as a whole will move to SWG with our expeditionary force already there on the server "Bria". We will be meeting on the planet Naboo, in the city of Kaadra. Our rules of engagement are simple, no dark jedi, no overt imperials, no hunting non-hostile sentients (though hunting animals is fine, we do afterall slaughter cows for their hide and meat). With all that in place, our secondary home, if it becomes needed, will be Starsider server -- all other stipulations are same. With that, I bid you good night! May the light of the Cross guide you.

KNIGHT'S COUNCIL CONVENES
For the first time in longer than most of us want to remember, the Knight's Council is to reconvene! This time about, the discussion goal is to determine all nessecary and variable knowledge about the StarWarsGalaxies chapter of our guild. We shall also be holding some ceremonies and conducting some "general business". All knights are respectfully requested to attend.
