BASIC GUILD UNDERSTANDING:

Why do you wish to join our guild?
(EXAMPLE)
While wandering the southwestern coastal swamps of Britannia I stumbled upon a small cottage. There a young woman named Daedin spied me and asked to make my acquaintance. After a short dialogue I was invited in, where I met Sirs Athelstan, Elbyran, and EdUaRdO (if memory serves... forgive an old knight his failing memory =)). In the ensuing weeks I had many an adventure with these servants of the Holy Cross and have come to call them my friends. I wish to join this sect of Holy Knights, and share in the riches of friendship and fellowship among these as my peers.

(or something like that... honestly, some will remember the above episode, and to be true, the Lady Sir Daedin was my first reason for joining the guild... and you can tell 'er that. =))

Do you understand:
1. This guild is not a democracy. While we encourage creativity and free thought, administration of the guild will be delegated and decided upon by the Holy Grand Master alone, and while he may consult the Knight's Council (AKA Grand Council in some forums) for advice in any decision, there is no obligation for the Holy Grand Master to follow said advice.

2. As an initiate, you will have no rights in the guild beyond those gained indirectly by the oaths of the Adepts, Squires, Knights, and Grand Master, who are above you. Further you will be expected to heed information given to you by those above your rank.

3. Ceremony is a large part of our guild, and the oaths taken during these ceremonies are taken very seriously. You will be expected to apply due reverence and honor to your oaths, and not take them lightly.
