There is a legend of a man who came forward and stood against evil where many would not. He was young and brash, yet gentle of heart and firm in his purpose. His greatest enemy at the time scoffed at his defiance and confronted him. The enemy asked him what he thought one man could do against the evil arrayed against him. How could HE think to hold back the darkness.

The young man replied, "Even the darkest hour of day contains light from the stars. One star can guide a man when he is lost. Even one star has the light to be of aid. And if enough stars shine together, the night can be banished." With that the battle began and the young man was triumphant.

The day came when the man began to take Squires and build for himself and his Order a Great House. On that day he set forth the purpose for his House. We are the stars. We cry out against the injustice of the night. As long as we stand there shall be light enough to show the way. When enough of us stand together, Darkness shall be no more.

A Knight of Starfire shall always stand and fight for justice even when all seems lost. We shall fear but not for ourselves. Instead we shall fear for the well being of our charges. Yet fear shall not rule us. These are the precepts of Courage, Honor and Sacrifice as they serve Justice. Let no Knight of Starfire forget these things.

In this House I make one distinction between members, that of Master and Student. Every Knight shall be a Master as it is their duty to train others to become Knights. Everyone else shall be a student for it is their duty to become Knights.
